Well our 2014 season is pretty well wrapped up – we had a great time with the Open Water Swim series and were stoked at the feedback from the inaugural Chino Grinder. We are in the midst of plotting and scheming our latest acquisition the Fat Tire 40 and just cracked registration on the Chino Grinder. Dates for the 2015 Open Water series are set and we are working on at least one other project (rolling your way in the fall of 2015) that will add some more miles to our portfolio of awesome events. Thanks for your continued support and enjoy the fall. We’ll keep you posted on each site and on the respective facebook pages!
The inaugural AZ Open Water Masters State Championship is set to take place next week Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Tempe Town Lake. We will offer 4000m and 2000m distances. Swimmers cannot wear a wetsuit if they are vying for the title. Age groups/Divisions may be found at http://www.azopenwater.com. The course will be a 1000m course, rectangular in shape and the water temperature should be in the low 80’s. We look forward to seeing you there!
It’s been a busy year thus far – Chino Grinder, 3 AZ Open Water swims, a full MBAA series, and a few new events coming this fall. The Chino Grinder was phenomenal, and we can’t wait to do it again…in fact we are working on another one now….stay tuned. We look forward to wrapping up the AZ Open Water Spring series on Saturday, and then will be getting our ducks in a row for the inaugural AZ Open Water Masters State Championship on September 28th. More details to follow in the coming weeks. Stay cool -
